Cycling

Besides the many possibilities for mountainbiking, road cycling is also beautiful. There are many quiet roads on which you can ride for hours with meeting just a sporadic car. Connecting roads however can be pretty crowded and the Portuguese like to drive fast on the narrow winding roads. On the other hand, they are used to slow traffic, and when you take this in account, and like a hilly ride, you can make long trips on tarmac.
